Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily logistics and supply chain operations in Union, NJ. The ideal candidate will manage warehousing, transportation, and inventory control, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our customers. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support company growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory control.

• Develop and implement logistics strategies, processes, and systems to improve service quality and reduce costs.

• Monitor performance metrics and KPIs for transportation providers, warehouse staff, and logistics partners.

• Coordinate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to align logistics operations with business goals.

• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers, including contract negotiations and service level agreements.

• Continuous monitoring and use of our logistics software system (Xcelerator)

• Identify process bottlenecks and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

• Forecast demand and manage capacity planning to support peak periods and ensure product availability.

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of logistics professionals and warehouse staff.

• Work directly with Senior Management to develop systems and procedures that will expand operational capacity nationwide.

• Be the first one in and stay as long as necessary to ensure things are running smoothly

• Remain on call to handle urgent issues as needed

Expected pay: $70k

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, transportation regulations, and warehousing best practices.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

• Effective leadership and team management capabilities.

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.

• Experience with international shipping and customs regulations
